Virar auto rickshaw drivers are charging 80rs for 1.2km ride.
This is not acceptable, auto rickshaws are meant to be affordable public transport but in Virar this lobby is charging very heavily.
This started in lockdown wherein before lockdown the sharing charges were 10₹ per person, but in lockdown since they were only allowing 2 people in an auto riskshaw they increased it to 20₹ per person and now post lockdown they have started having 4 passengers per ride and still they are charging ₹20 per person.
For a private ride be it even 500 metres, they charge ₹50.
And if there are 4 people in the family they charge ₹80, doesn’t matter how much nearby you want to go.
This needs to be stopped and there must be metres in every auto rickshaw and sharing charges must also come down.
Please stop this corruption.
