Text of Complaint by Vani Agrawal:

My phone was lost on Sunday 10th December, and since then VI customer care center has refused to issue me an alternate sim card. I am currently based out of Bangalore.
My documents are getting rejected because in your central system my DOB is not updated. As per their system my DOB is 1 Jan 1900
Since this SIM was issued to me 20 years ago so they don’t have my original documents to verify
Bangalore Circle is refusing because the sim was originally issued from Delhi
The only option they told me was to fly down to Delhi and get my sim issued

I am a startup founder, all my accounts are linked to this number and it’s impossible for me to spend INR 20000 to go to Delhi to issue my sim. My phone has been off for the last 4 days. I cannot login to my whatsapp, gmail, Ola, UBER, payments, in fact not even my net banking. My life is at a standstill. I have probably missed 100 of my client calls. I have to go for International travel on Friday. I have already made 5 visits to the VI center, 3 calls on customer care and no help is received.
