Text of Complaint by Sandeep Soni:

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to bring to your immediate attention a concerning incident that occurred during my visit to the Airtel office located in Prem Nagar, Ambala City (Haryana) on March 21, 2024. My name is Sandeep Soni, son of Shri J.N. Soni, and during my visit, I interacted with a representative named Miss Manisha.
I approached Miss Manisha with the intention of porting my number, 9466137261, and my wife, Smt. Aarti Soni’s number, 9416524294, from BSNL to Airtel’s prepaid plan. However, despite my specific request for prepaid services, Miss Manisha proceeded with the formalities for postpaid without informing me of the alternative. This lack of transparency is deeply concerning to me.
Despite my subsequent request through WhatsApp on March 22, 2024, to switch both numbers to prepaid, Miss Manisha insisted on postpaid and advised me to consider prepaid after four months. Regrettably, due to professional commitments related to the financial closing of March, I could not initiate the online cancellation request within the required 24-hour window.
Upon realizing the oversight, I promptly contacted Miss Manisha again at 7:20 pm on March 23, 2024, reiterating my preference for prepaid services. Unfortunately, she refused to accommodate my request, and her manner of communication was also unsatisfactory.
I urge Airtel to rectify this situation immediately by porting both numbers mentioned above to prepaid, as per my original request. Additionally, I believe it is imperative for Airtel to provide training to its employees on customer service and transparency to prevent such incidents in the future.
Please note that if no action is taken by midnight on March 23, 2025, as per Miss Manisha’s indication, both numbers will be ported to postpaid, which is not my preferred option.
I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and expect a swift resolution.
