I had put an ad on Quickr for a mattress, I was fraudulently asked for Rs.6,000 and Rs.18,000 from my PayTm UPI.
The details are as follows –
The person sent us the PayTm voucher message and asked to follow these steps –
1. Go to Paytm inbox where voucher message is received
2. Click on Pay button in that inbox and enter the amount which needs
to be received.
3. Next click on Pay button button and select the bank.
4. When we get UPI pin screen there he asked us to wait and he said he
entered the pin on his device and then asked us to enter my upi id on
my device.
Initially we received the amount of Rs. 1/- for testing purpose, but
later when I tried for Rs. 6,000/- I did not receive the money and
money was debited from my account.
Second transaction was for 18,000/-
