Hi, I was trying to sell an item on OLX. A prospective buyer called me and after discussing the deal, offered to pay on UPI over payTM. But I received request to pay on paytm from his side. He explained to me that if I make the payment, he will immediately be able to make a payment to me using UPI. He initially made me transfer Rs. 2 and then Rs. 5 to verify the process, which he immediately returned. Soon after that he made me transfer 5000 to his account and then did not return the same. What is my recourse here? My bank says that they cannot do anything about UPI transactions. PayTM says that they are only a medium and the transactions are controlled by banks so they cannot do anything either.
