I am not able to generate the UPE Code as for generation of UPE Code we have to send a message i.e. PORT space and our mobile number to 1990 but everytime I send the message it show ” not send, tap to try again”, However I am able to send messages to any other person but I’m not able to send the message to 1990 for generation of UPE Code, which is essential for porting your number to other network. When I talk to the VI customer care that I am not able to send a message to 1990 to port my number he started telling not to port the number instead of telling me the reason why I’m not able to send the message, after a very long time he told me the process to generate UPE Code but even after that I’m not able to send the message to port my number. I have talked to some other people who also have Vodafone Sim card they hve told me that they have faced the issue too and VI done this cheap practice to prevent people from Porting to other network. I think they have blocked my number to send a message to 1990 so that I can’t port my sim to other network and it is very cheap practice done by VI authorities to stop someone from porting to other device. Kindly take cognizance of this.
