I would like to lodge a complaint against Zomato.
I ordered food through their service and waited more than an hour for the food to be delivered. Finally I called the restaurant from which the food was ordered and they said the delivery boy already picked it up and left.
Zomato did not provide the contact information of the delivery person so I could not contact him. I tried to contact Zomato customer service and there was no response.
When I contacted Zomato via several emails explaining the issue, I got a standard response that their policies have changed and they do not provide a refund when the customer cannot be contacted which is fundamentally untrue as the delivery person did not contact me.
This is poor customer service and unscrupulous business practice by Zomato. I have read numerous other customer complaints on food related and other sites like Quora. You can do a search and read for yourself. Here is one example:
I request taking action against Zomato’s unfair business practices.
