I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with a recent experience I had with Flipkart concerning my order for Rooprekha Enterprises 20 Pics 9 Watt Direct On board LED Bulb Raw Material in WHITE Color Electronic Components Electronic Hobby Kit, priced at Rs.195 with order id – OD428633822587903100. My order was cancelled without my permission or knowledge after waiting for 11 days and item out for delivery. However, the reason provided by Flipkart was a prolonged delay in the delivery of my order, with the seller not wanting to keep me waiting.
On 16th Jul 2023, I placed an order for the aforementioned product on the Flipkart website and proceeded to make the payment online. I expected a smooth and hassle-free transaction and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of my order. However, to my dismay, I received notification that my order was cancelled by the seller due to a prolonged delay in the delivery process.
While I understand the importance of timely delivery, I strongly contend that cancelling an order without my consent or knowledge, especially after I had already made the payment and order was out for delivery, is entirely unjustified. I placed my order with the expectation that the seller would fulfil their commitment to deliver the product. If there were delays, I believe I should have been informed and given the option to wait or cancel the order myself.
Furthermore, I find it deeply concerning that Flipkart’s customer service response to this issue has been unsatisfactory. Upon contacting Flipkart’s customer service to seek clarification and resolution, I was met with a lack of accountability and empathy. The representatives provided no reasonable explanation for the order cancellation and simply advised me to take legal action if I wished to pursue the matter further. This dismissive response has left me feeling traumatized by the company’s conduct and disregard for customer rights and satisfaction.
I want to emphasize that my experience with Flipkart has not only resulted in negligence and deficiency in services but has also caused me significant mental agony. Flipkart misled me into doing business with them, and as a result, I have suffered undue stress and inconvenience.
I request, in addition to the resolution of receiving the product I ordered at the advertised price, compensation for the mental agony and inconvenience caused by Flipkart’s misleading actions and subsequent mishandling of the situation.
If this matter is not promptly and satisfactorily addressed, I will have no choice but to escalate it further by considering legal action and lodging a formal complaint with the appropriate consumer protection authorities. I urge Flipkart to uphold its commitment to customer satisfaction and ethical business practices.
I eagerly await your immediate attention to this issue and a resolution that reflects fairness, customer-centric values, and compensation for the mental distress caused.
