Text of Complaint by Gulab Jain:

I am writing to address a profoundly distressing situation that I have been experiencing with your company. It involves a disturbing combination of incessant harassment through unsolicited calls, threats of legal action, and a highly concerning billing discrepancy.

In recent weeks, I have been subject to an alarming number of calls from various OLA numbers throughout the day. These unsolicited calls have not only disrupted my daily routine but also caused me significant distress. Despite expressing my clear wish to not receive any calls, the frequency of these calls has only increased, creating an invasive and uncomfortable environment for me.

Adding to my distress, I encountered an unsettling issue during a recent ride with an OLA driver. Upon booking the ride and receiving confirmation, I called the driver to discuss the details. Subsequently, I cancelled the booking due to unforeseen circumstances. After a few attempts, I successfully rebooked the ride, and the initial approximate fare was quoted as Rs 2200.

However, upon completing the journey and reaching our destination, the OLA driver stated that the fare was approximately Rs 2650. This was shocking, as the initial booking confirmation indicated a fare of Rs. 2200. I proceeded to pay the driver in cash based on the initial estimate, given that my family had witnessed the quoted fare during the booking.

To my astonishment, I later received a message from OLA indicating that a limit of Rs. 500 had been imposed on my account. Furthermore, an additional charge of Rs 340 was levied for the ride, along with a cancellation fee of Rs 550. This discrepancy between the initial fare estimate, the fare stated by the driver, and the charges incurred is profoundly troubling and entirely unacceptable. What is even more concerning is the subsequent threat of legal action if the disputed amount is not paid promptly. This behaviour, including intimidation through text messages, is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
I am deeply concerned about the impact this situation might have on my personal life as well as my business activities. The combination of threats, harassment, and a suspicious billing situation is completely unacceptable and has left me feeling trapped and taken advantage of.
