I had made a booking through via.com on the 14th September 2021. The travel was an one way air from Chennai to Gujarat. via.com had the lowest airfare when I had done a search in Google and hence went with the booking through them for Spicejet SG-391. The booking was done at 21:12PM.
I never got the PNR from Spicejet for the travel thought I kept refreshing the page and I watned to check the same the next day. I spoke to my nephew and asked him to check about the same for me, the next day, and he wrote to the customer care giving all the details about the ticket and asking for the PNR.
However, they responded saying that the prices have gone up by more then double and we need to the pay the difference in fare to get the ticket. They also lied saying that they reached out to us in the night itself about it. But, they had reached out to me by an email at 6:30 the next day morning, which is more than 9 hours since the time I made the booking.
What were they doing without booking my ticket the entire 9 hours? With dynamic pricing it is obvious the ticket prices will be high with a 9 hour gap and they expect me to pay the difference in fare now!
Please help in me getting the ticket for my travel since I had planned this well in advance and for the good up of via.com I should not have to cancel my travel. Also, I should not be penlalized for their mistake and delay in booking the tickets.
I would expect a comensation from them for the fresh ticket price, if they are going to cancel the ticket and refund the amount to me.
