Text of Complaint by Anand:

I booked a Train Ticket on the IRCTC website and did pay for the transaction via their approved Payment Gateway PayU. immediately after the payment is deducted from my account the Booking Status is showing an error NOT BOOKED, FAILED TRANSACTION. this is nothing but an online scam. IRCTC under the leadership of Shri. Piyush Goyal, Minister for Railways is responsible for the performance of railways on every front. I don’t think I might be the first and the last. I see there is some deliberate looting is happening in through IRCTC Online Ticketing System. No Doubt.
Below is the email I sent to Customer Care and the Minister of Railways.
Dear Satya Prakash Varma!
I am pained to understand how irresponsible the system is. Your IRCTC has opened gates for private payment gateways and when the payment is not realized, we the customers are the sufferers.
I would like to know the reason why such Private Payment Gateways like PayU whose contact numbers or whose operating addresses have not even provided in the websites they own and how our IT & Information systems ministry is a mute spectator and what is the basis for our Central Govt and Reserve Bank to give permissions to such PayU company to fool the online customers?.
“IRCTC ” has deliberately allowed such online frauds to happen in the disguise of “Next Generation Ticketing System” with “failed transactions” and if the Govt of India doesn’t even care to provide an alternative, preventive and quick resolutions to the genuine customers stranded due to your system lapses?.
I am not satisfied with your deeply regretting emails other than resolving the issue on a priority basis.
My son has to attend his college admission interview and in this COVID-19 times, it is difficult to look for alternative transport options as they are limited.
You should have some understanding with your payment gateways and you should deliver your promises. Issues between you and your PayU cannot hinder the customer’s time, Money & Energy.
Hon. Shri. Piyush Goyal Ji, Please take note and bring efficiency in online Ticketing booking systems with international Payments.
