I was a user of Hathway Broadband Services in Bangalore and closed the connection in Aug 2021. As per protocol, I raised a account termination request via their app. Instead of closing the connection, for 2+ years I have been getting calls from 8-10 agents regularly to renew the subscription for a discount price. When I refused, they ignored. Now after two years they’re asking that they want us to return the router. I told them that I no longer live in Blore and they have not picked it up on time so I cannot come back to hand over. Now, Hathway has leaked my customer contact info to local goons who call from random untraceable numbers and say that Hathway has authorised them to make unsolicited calls. For example – 97390 followed by 19516/54708/70276/19854/64818/71206/17304 etc. They’re posing as ‘Recovery Agents’ and harassing old customers for money.
On Jan 21, 2023 I was forced to pay INR 485 towards the device recovery cost (Txn id: 167429528922923880. They said that after this they will not disturb me.
But as of May 8, 2023, I have begun receiving harassment calls to pay more money (Mob: 80509 04038 at 1:09 PM).
I don’t know when and how to stop this nuisance.
