TDR CASE REPUDIATED ON MISSING THE CONNECTING TRAIN DUE TO LATE RUNNING OF THE FIRST TRAIN STATING THE REASON “TICKET NOT SURRENDERED UPTO 4 HRS. BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DEPARTURE OF THE TRAIN”. BUT THE TICKET WAS AN E-TICKET.

RESPECTED SIR/MADAM,

I HAVE TICKET WITH CONNECTING TRAIN FROM JHANSI-JHS TO KANPUR CENTRAL-CNB(PNR-2855116286) AFTER THE FIRST TRAIN SECUNDERABAD-SC TO JHANSI-JHS (PNR-4103561108).  MY FIRST TRAIN WAS LATE AND I HAVE MISSED THE SECOND CONNECTING TRAIN AT JHANSI. I HAVE BOOKED BOTH THE TICKETS ONLINE AND FILED THE TDR FOR THE SECOND TICKET WITHIN 3 HOURS OF THE SECOND TRAIN DEPARTED FROM THE STATION. AS THE TICKETS ARE ONLINE I HAVE FILED THE TDR ONLINE AND WENT TO KANPUR CENTRAL-CNB WITH OTHER ALTERNATIVE (BUS WAY). TODAY ON 17-03-2020 WHEN I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY TDR, MY TDR CASE WAS REPUDIATED (PNR-2855116286) STATING THE REASON AS THAT THE TICKET NOT SURRENDERED UPTO 4 HRS. BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DEPARTURE OF THE TRAIN.

 

TO MY KNOWLEDGE AS MY TICKET WAS AN ONLINE E-TICKET IT IS NOT REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THE TICKET AT THE RESERVATION COUNTER. ONLY THING THAT I NEED TO DO IS TO FILE THE TDR ONLINE THROUGH MY BOKING ACCOUNT. IF THERE IS ANY REQUIREMENT TO SUBMIT THE PRINT OUT OF THE TICKET IN THE RESERVATION COUNTER, HOW CAN I SUBMIT THE TICKET AT THE COUNTER AT 6:30 AM. IF I NEED TO SUBMIT THE E-TICKET AT THE RESERVATION COUNTER, WHEN THAY START OPERATIONAL AT 8:00 AM, I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE MY JOURNEY TO KANPUR CENTRAL. IN THIS REGARD, I REQUEST THE AUTHORITIES TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND TAKE THE NEEDFUL ACTION  ON THE ISSUE SO THAT MY REFUND WILL BE BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
