Hi,
My name is Sachin Sargar, subscriber ID 1201053129. I am one of the veteran customers of Tata Sky. I have subscribed annual package of Marathi Hindi Basic HD pack. As per ‘Tata Sky pack’ details (Page#63) reflecting on Tata Sky website under ‘Consumer Corner’ , this pack costs Rs. 320.37+ Rs. 153 (monthly charge), Total – 473.37 . However I am charged Rs. 496 per month.

Scroll down to page# 63 and check “Marathi Hindi Basic HD” pack details. It shows 38 SD and 31 HD channels. Considering 2 SD channel per every HD channel, total SD channel slots are coming as ( 38+31*2 = 100 ). For 0 to 100 SD channels slot, monthly charges are Rs. 153. Hence package cost is appearing as Rs. 473.37 per month (Below snapshot is taken on 24-Jul-2019 at 12:47PM IST)
However, when I selected same package and made annual payments, I am charged Rs. 496 per month. The reason is TataSky has added one extra SD channel from backend in this pack (which I never requested). As channel count became 101, monthly charges increased from RS. 153 to Rs 176 due to 0 to 125 channels slot and thus total cost is Rs. 496 per month.
My complaint is if their online website is showing “Marathi Hindi Basic HD” channel count as 100 and package cost as Rs. 473, why TataSky is adding one extra channel from backend on their own and looting customer for additional Rs. 23 for one extra channel per month. I have never requested to add any additional channel in my pack neither their website is showing 101 channel count under this pack. It needs to be addressed immediately. I already raised complaint# 1kLWTLD7 with TataSky but no action taken yet.
