Text of Complaint by Richa Maru:

Initially on 9-07-2020 the when the DTH(1007249525) box was not working i called the customer care of tatasky and informed the executive that i have spare connection also and wants to start the TV without the technician visit due to Covid-19, but the executive told that she will arrange the visit and ” DID NOT PROVIDED ME THE OPTION THAT I CAN SWAP MY CONNECTION FROM SECONDARY TO PRIMARY “. Technician visited and told replace the box , i asked that i have secondary connection so asked to activate that, but the technician said no such option only the option is to take new box connected the box and left the house. On the spot i called again the customer care and informed the above issue , the executive said i have option to swap the connections , i immediately did the same and asked the executive to DO NOT DEBIT THE 400/- , executive assured me that the material amount will be charged only when the connection will be active. Again after a day i complaint for the reversal of the recharge wasted of 5 days in the above complaint and also asked the executive not to debit the charge of Rs. 400 /- he assured me that only the technician charges of Rs. 150 will be debited after 24hrs but after a day amount of Rs. 550/- debited . I immediately complaint that it was assured from company’s end that the amount of Rs. 400/- will not be debited and i asked for the reversal of that amount but the executive said he will arrange the call back from the refund team. After complaining 2 times they told me i will get call within 72 hrs. Today 18-07-2020 i got a call from Mr. Kapil stated himself Senior Executive Helpdesk but did not hear the complaint and just said only two sentence ” MATERIAL FARE 400/- IS NON- REFUNDABLE ” i asked for the written confirmation as non of the executive nor the technician informed me that the charges are NON- Refundable whereas they assured me that i haven’t used it so the amount wont be charged. I asked Mr. Kapil to Disconnect my connection or refund the amount the executive replied ” YOUR FEEDBACK IS VALUEABLE TO US ” i asked for the resolution either to refund me the amount of disconnect the connection but he disconnected the CALL. I again called the Customer care said , informed all of the above , asked for the written confirmation but he also said the same this that he will arrange the call back for the refund team. I request the Consumer Forum to intervene and help me get my amount back as its the hard earn money during the pandemic situation. I am complaining this issue on all other platforms and social media also as this people are looting the customers by providing incorrect information and making the money. Also will inform the friends and relative the disconnect this operator.
