1. My name is Col Sandeep Dhawan (Retd).
2. I am a resident of H No 784, Sector 17 A, Gurgaon Haryana 122001
3. We have a Tata Sky account with Customer / Subscriber Id – 1052162755.
4. I am their customer since 2010, which is approx. 11 years and we are a premium rated customer
5. Our registered mobile No (RMN) is – 9999349700
6. 3-4 weeks ago, we got a phone call from 7053461096 by a lady executive claiming to be from Tata Sky, on a different No than the RMN (On 9212513155), she asked if my Fire stick is working properly and I told her yes, she also asked if the technician had ever asked for money and I told her, “No”.
7. At that time, I was using my own Fire stick purchased from Amazon, for 2-3 days, and then I stopped using that also, after 2-3 days.
8. I am currently not using any Fire stick (Neither mine nor from Tata Sky).
9. Today we were having a problem that none of our Channels were working, so we called up Tata Sky. And we also tried to log in into our Customer ID, however to our dismay we learnt that the Mobile No (RMN) is some other no, and another email id, and even our password was not working.
10. The details of the new (Fraudulent) RMN and name are as follows:
    1. RMN – 8178053644
    2. Email ID starting with d*******
    3. Then we called the No and asked , and learnt that this person who was using our Customer ID was :
       1. Name – Avneesh
       2. Mobile No – (As above) 8178053644
    4. Address : 639/1, Sector 14, Gurgaon
    5. He said that he was using the Tata Sky Fire-stick which was free for the first month and that he wanted to return it now.

OUR COMPLAINT

13. We are deeply concerned that :
    1. TataSky have no security related checks and balances, which is evident from the fact that some hacker has been able to hack the TataSky system and change the RMN and email id and password. Our Customer ID and other details have also been compromised.
    2. This is a fraudulent and criminal activity, and needs to be actioned against. Kindly assist in addressing this heinous cybercrime and confirm what investigation / action is taken in this regard.
    3. Our Channels were not working despite the fact that we have adequate balance with you.
    4. We never ordered a Tata Sky Fire-stick and neither was it ever delivered to us, then why do we have the liability of paying Rs 299 per month for this?
14. We are sharing all the known data and information so that you are able to get to the bottom of this fraud and will safeguard our interests.
15. We are being harassed unnecessarily and a lot of mind share and time is being spent to receive many calls from you and to explain everything again and again. We are aggrieved and request to be compensated for this mental torture, fear and adequate damages must be made for the consequence of the mistrust in the TataSky ecosystem, trauma and the inconvenience caused.

TataSky to take responsibility for the lapses within your systems apart from the corrective actions as warranted.
