Subject: Amazon denying refund claiming I returned the wrong item, despite returning the same item I originally received. A clear sign of Zero Accountability when I requested to share more details to justify their allegations & investigate.

Respected Team,

For Order# 402-6890146-8413140, Amazon is denying a refund, claiming that I returned the wrong item, despite returning the same item I originally received. Although, I requested them to thoroughly investigate & provide me with evidence to support their allegations, they responded with the following statement.

What bothers me the most here is not just the refund, but the complete lack of accountability that Amazon Specialists/Customer representatives are displaying. So, I’m determined to pursue this matter and appeal their decision with your precious support.

Order Details:

For your reference, here’s the timeline for Order# 402-6890146-8413140.

July-24, 2023: Order Placed [Godrej Sherlock Model 7675]
Aug-16, 2023: Order Delivered [Godrej No:1 Model (Wrong Item, Cheaper Model, Attached the image)]
Aug-16, 2023: Scheduled Return Pickup. 
Aug-17, 2023: The Delivery partner picked up the package after verifying & ensuring that the items were in accordance with the Return Label’s description. (Refer to the attachments, Pickup Tracking ID: 626063188570)
Aug-25 & 27,2023: Although the items were picked up successfully on Aug-17,2023; The Delivery partner called twice to ensure package pickup and refund processing were completed. I haven’t returned anything to Amazon in the last two years, so I’m not sure if this verification process is typical.

Additional info:

1) The seller seems to be a scammer trying to deceive the buyers by sending wrong products. Although the order was fulfilled by Amazon, the fact Amazon is denying the refund, claiming I returned the wrong item, is even more concerning. Please refer to the attachments for the similar reviews/complaints from many buyers on the same seller sending the wrong products.

2) Contrary to what Amazon messaged in their original email, I had already clarified them the following:

a) I had to return the product I received the very next day since it doesn’t match the product description. For your information, I’ve ordered the same product 4 times in the past few years with different sellers and never had any issues.
b) I did not even violate Amazon’s policy by exceeding the number of returns. To clarify, I didn’t have any returns on my Amazon India account from the last two years.

3) Also, I can’t find any other reason for Amazon management’s actions in this matter besides their deliberate attempt to retaliate against me for criticizing their customer service representatives in the past for poor service.
