This is with reference pertaining to your concerns raised by you regarding loan account number SPLN60156471
At the outset, please accept our sincere gratitude for the time taken and effort made by you in sharing your concerns with us
We will be unable to accede with your request to waive the foreclosure charges.
Also we wish to inform that the foreclosure charges are applicable as per loan agreement.
We also wish to state that we have done the necessary investigation for the claims made by you and our response is being submitted post review and confirmation from our Internal Ombudsman Mr. Arshad Naqvi.

Hi,
Let me re-iterate again, when you send your executive home with 2 books of sign, where i have asked them any hidden charges, the answer i have received everything white, ” no hidden charges ” when i have asked them in mail confirmation for any hidden charges they have sent a mail stating below along with that they asked loan disbursal confirmation from me, after seeing that i have requested for the loan disbursal.
In such case they not mentioned in mail, let me attach the mail to you, also if such hidden charges i would have rejected then there itself, infact they mentioned am working for IBM is in there blue chip list and no extra charges for them, so keeping that acceptance i have moved forward.
Its very simple, i dont need your single penny from Kotak, at the same time i will not allow any changes to be penalized to me.  As i already mentioned this is Pay check from HDFC home loan division for my home loan closure from corporation bank, and i have shown all my mails from Kotak where it is not mentioned about foreclosure / extra charges.. GST was not even implemented, so i request to waive that so that the balance of my loan 9,10413 is ready for you.
The mail which came from Kotak is attached, call is your’s but i will not make any charges, need a waiver. Thanks

As discussed over the Branch with our executive Jahnavi, for the above loan going for the closure of the loan there  will be the fore closure charges of 5 % + GST 18%.

 

18% GST will be paid to the central government, hence the same can’t be waived off.

 

Enclosed is the email send from the bank at the time of taking the loan and the Sanction letter copy too..

thanks for the response shared.
With atmost respect and thought Kotak is very reputed financial organization which stand by its words for end users. Am afraid now the way sales people sell your products & Services while getting deals signed and while closing they dont stand by your deeds.
I have a strong question where is that mentioned to customer in the loan sanction mail ??????? why was this not disclosed to me ?? while signing books i have no time to read each line of your terms, they need to disclose the same to customer, also they told no service charges while the loan amount cross 19 Lakhs !!!!!
When i have asked your team for any  hidden charges and your bank terms for pre closure. they answered only 12 months binding time, & i have crossed more than 12 months and am eligible.  Also they told my company is blue chip and listed for no more extra charges IBM’s is then why are not standing on your words !!!!!
What you asking service charges is illegal and not acceptable any financial institutions and as per RBI rules. So, I urge and my humble request to accept the ready DD for 9,10,150 which was outstanding as per 29/11/2018. This was made ready after calling your customer care on 29/11/2018 as per them amount was Rs. 9,10,150.00. same demand draft is made ready from HDFC bank Ltd.on the same day.
Since am going to closure of my loan account, i would not going for any further EMI’s and wait for your concurrence on the above acceptance with at most respect.

  1. Its one of the fraud bank I have seen is Kotak, there terms are not clear when they say binding for pre closure 1 year in spite while go to bank, they charge extra service charges and other GST something nonsense they keep the amount more than 5% which is way beyond your expectations.,
    I have requested my PL fore closure they not even mentioned while in sanction letter or terms of my loan sanction letter, but they want to get this from customer with force, other wise they don’t close the PL account, is so pathetic financial institute I have seen.
    Please I request I every one to share this and make that bank doesn’t effect other customers in future.. there response and customer satisfaction is Zero I think.,. what a scrap bank, they don’t follow any process, there is no escalation point available in bank, all is customer care teams, they response is poorest of the poor.
    You get so many calls from every where and they festere you always, I have sent mails many times, still who ever comes new will ask different mails every time,

    If anyone looking for banking I would never recommend kotak. Looks to be an small bank with out customer strong policies, very week financial sector bank. no customer friendly!!! No customer savvy.. its false and fraud bank

  2. If anyone looking for banking I would never recommend kotak. not good customer policies, its only for making customer penalized, they don’t mention any service charges while sanctioning, but while go for fore closure they levy customer with all charges,
    Its illegal and fraud, I recommend don’t go such banks with no value to customer and they have no strong policies towards customer welfare. recent times this is the one financial institute I have seen with out any values towards customer friendly..
    no escalation point, all is customer care where they are not directive or decisive. Fraud Bank
