Hello Team,
This is a complaint on Pepperfry with respect to Order Number: 306620968, which includes a Sofa Set (3+1+1), the item name is Ohio Seater Sofa in Beige Colour by ARRA. The product was purchased during Nov-2020 and unpacked during Jan-2021. According to Pepperfry, this is a teak wood sofa and we were charged INR 68000+ for it.
The sofa started developing cracks in the wood, and the complaint to Pepperfry was raised. As per the warranty policy, Pepperfry agreed to have a look and get the sofa repaired. The reference Service Request number is  WR-220421-0074.
The Pepperfry team has not claimed that the repair is done and ready to be shipped back. On enquiry, we were informed that the cracks were filled and the sofa was repolished. It is a teak wood Sofa with structural/ manufacturing defect, repolish doesnt solve the quality issue.
Despite this, Pepperfry wants to deliver the sofa and close the case. The reason is that their staff has other jobs to do.
We paid a heavy price for this product. Accepting the sofa with manufacturing defect with repolish work is not ok for us, because the wood within will crack again after few days again. At that time, the warranty policy doesn’t cover and we need to live with it.
I tried escalating it, but Pepperfry doesnt accept escalations on unresolved cases.
Until the quality concern is resolved, for us the case remains open irrespective of the Polish work done in the name of repair by Pepperfry. Please help.
