I’m Yagnza kumar. I have been using the Airtel Postpaid connection for more than a year (since Aug’2020). I was using the family plan (Rs. 999) with 3 SIM connections. My entire family is a loyal customer of Airtel since 2010.
Due to COVID, I couldn’t continue the postpaid service as it costs me around 1300 rupees every month. I wish to change the service from postpaid to prepaid. For this service request, I called customer care and have been redirected to a local store that is far away from my place (6 KMS).
I visited the Airtel store (Avadi branch) yesterday (Monday, September 13) and waited in a long queue. They requested me to come to the store again, as the airtel servers are slow to file a request.
The next day, I visited the store for the second time, waited in a long queue again. Finally, they took the service request – only one SIM connection has changed to prepaid, the rest of the two connections went OUT OF SERVICE. Those connections are my personal and official numbers, but it is down now and not activated yet – though I provided all mandatory KYC documents.
They confirmed that the service will be restored by end of the day and promised a callback as well. But, I heard nothing!
Despite COVID, I travel for 6 km and standing in a long queue wasting more than an hour, for the past two days.
On top of it, although all KYC documents are submitted and request has been taken – the connection has not restored in Prepaid and not activated yet.
Needed immediate action, as both the office and personal mobile number are OUT OF SERVICE now.
