As I was looking for a job, I upload my details to the job portal, then on 29/07/2021 (July) this Kashis: Job Search Net company contacted me from call and through whatsapp. and they sent me this whatsapp msg

??For enrolling in freelancing platform we require 3 things??
1 – 0 (ZERO) Upfront charges.
2 – Complete Name/Number/Address/Email with one government approved id proof.
3 – Your resume along with your passport photo for shortlisting you on our portal.

There are only few conditions. You must have basic computer knowledge and you should be above 18 years of age because we will sign a freelancing contract to build a trust between both the parties.

1:-In this you will get project of 600 pages you have to complete that in a week

2:- for every correct page you will get pay of 25 rupees, as you have to fill 600 pages you will get around 15000 rupees per week

3:- you must compete this task with 90% accuracy

4:- there will be no registration fees but portal of 5000 + GST will be directly deducted from sallary.

Note:- you don’t have to pay any initial fees, the portal charge of 5000 + GST will be directly deducted from your sallary itself

5:- so if you are really interested just send me front and backside of adharcard and email for registration.

then they asked me to submit the documents and as I was interested I sent my resume, mail, and voter ID, and within minutes they sent me registration id and password.

then from the company, a lady calls me and tell me to open the website (“https://jobsearchnet.in/”) and login with id and password

then she told me to keep clicking next(which is agreement procedures which i was unaware of) she didn’t even tell me there was an agreement/bond and she told me to sign without giving the time read saying “you will get this agreement copy to your mail” and as I signed through the website digitally as I can’t full sign my name she told me to sign half of my name. after that she told me they’ll contact me soon.

In meantime, I searched online about the company as there were many complaints about the company immediately i told her to cancel my the agreement(which is fake) and she told me to pay the portal charges of Rs5000+GST(5900) which I never used the portal. then I told her to cancel my agreement and then she nver replyed.

As today 6/08/2021 they sent me a warning mail as below

We are writing in reference to the contract with our clients Job Search Net. We are advising you to pay the charges of the portal which you have used intentionally and failed to deliver the output which was required in the contract. Now we can proceed legally as per the sec 72 under Indian contract act 1872. Kindly clear the dues towards our clients in the below account details and resolve this matter at the earliest to avoid law suit. Now, as per the terms and conditions mentioned in the legal agreement you are supposed to pay the charges of Rs 5000+GST applicable as soon as possible to the below mentioned account.
This will be your final opportunity to resolve the matter without the expense of court proceedings. If you fail to clear the matter then the company may take legal actions against you. For the same, we will be serving you the legal notice to your postal address against which you have to revert legally and we do have your Aadhar card & Pan Card details with us so, we can deteriorate your CIBIL rating as well in course of non-submission of your penalty amount. You can find lots of issues with your banking procedures also then. As soon as you will pay the amount you will get NOC (No objection certificate) from our company.

I am a student and looking for a part-time job to fulfill my needs and this kind of company scamming people, harassing, taking advantage of the situation, and threatening me and others about taking legal action.

I request you to look into this matter and urging people not to fall in this scam
