Text of Complaint by Vibhor Kaul:

For the past 4 months i am being charged extra money for a service that I have not activated. Upon asking for details, the customer care executives say that it is a third party service and they do not have any details about it. Three questions that they can never answer are:

  1. If the service is a third party service, how is the amount being added to my bill without any payment authorisation?
  2. If Vi does not have any idea about who provides the services, how do they charge GST for it?
  3. If i have activated the service by placing a request, where is the communication for the request?

Please note: The service gets activated exactly 10 days before billing every month. It always gets activated at late hours between 1 and 3 am so that the customer doesn’t notice it. On my previous call with a customer care executive, I was assured that the service has been blacklisted and the next day it was activated again.

I have decided to port out of Vi, but for all the other users, please be vigilant as there is a large scam at hand. The number from which the activation message comes is 54300.
