Text of Complaint by Shireen Khan:

I had posted an application on quikr jobs for data entry operator and accountant, the very next day I received a call who was claiming to be from quikr and offered me back office job for axis bank, they asked me to send the necessary documents and marksheet then asked me to pay them ₹1050 as registration fees, I did as they told then they again called and said that your documents are sent for verification to bank and after sometime they’ll call you and then you’ll have an online interview then they sent me interview questions to prepare for it, then I had interview then they said I’ll receive the results and offer letter tomorrow also if I get selected they’ll send a courier to my residential address containing the hard copy of offer letter, joining letter, my debit card, passbook, cheque book, my domain ID and password along with laptop. The next day they called me and told that I have passed the interview and they have sent the offer letter on WhatsApp soon they’ll dispatch the courier also they have sent account opening form as I’ll be required to open my salary account on axis bank but they’ll fill the form I just have to send the required documents also I have to send ₹3000 to be deposited in my salary account in advance then only they’ll be able to proceed with account opening and then only they’ll be able to send me the courier as my salary account details will be mentioned in the hard copy of offer letter. I paid ₹3000 partly, first I sent ₹1000 then I sent ₹2000 and sent them screenshot as per their demand but then they started saying that they only received ₹1000 but not ₹2000 and asked me to send further proofs that’s when my doubts started arising. They said I can enquire about the pending ₹2000 amount from any bank branch, when I did the bank confirmed that the ₹2000 amount has been successfully sent to the payee after I informed they were still adamant that they didn’t received any amount and I’m lying and if what I’m saying is truth then I should send them the proof and send ₹2000 again they’ll refund me the amount. We had a long argument over this and after I searched their number on true caller it was revealed by other users on comment that these are fraud numbers who claim to be from consultancy agency, scamming people with the hopes of providing them jobs.
