Text of Complaint by Smitarekha Rai:

Full advance for providing domestic help taken and no person has stared work even on Day 12, leaving senior Citizen customer to source help locally .Now denying the refund on no grounds. Founder Mr. Vaibhav Agrawal also contacted but to no reason/rationale end. No service provided even after 12 days and falsehead spread through Ms Reshma (Onboariding Manager), Ms Sanoj (Relationship Manager), Mr. Luv (Grievance Manager). Despite numerous calls, email, everyday I was told worker will start from next day. After waiting for 8 days the person assigned never showed (its been 4 days since that also) up and now Broomees is claiming they were sent back by us. CCTV footage and Gate entry clearly indicates no one came and this clearly is the modus operendi of Broomees to dupe customers by harassing them into leaving advance money since they have no staff to assign and claim falsely that worker was sent back by customer, who have by good intent paid full 6 month subscription advance on Day 0 itself.. Amount of Rs. 4800 charged and not even 1 day of service received.

  1. Totally agree !!

    Broomees team are highly unprofessional and have pathetic service. They send the maids who runs off after a day or two and there is no way to connect with them until late morning.

    They have NO refund policy but they violate their own Terms & Conditions asking us to pay the subscription fees before sharing the maids profile. According to TnC, the profiles will be shared and finalized first and then the amount has to be paid.

    Moreover, if we don’t like the profiles, they consider this as a replacement to share the another one. In that case, what is the point of sharing the profile at the first place. It’s a gimmick and fooling the people for their money to bloat their revenues.

  2. Did anyone had any success complaining against them? They took a subsription fee of approx RS 12000 ffor an year and provided cook for just 135 days. Now they says my subscription has expired and not extending or refunding money. Is there a way to raise this collectively at a higher forum? The run scams and publicise their SharkTank appearance and loot people.

  3. Case of Fraud: Inability of Broomees to Provide Worker Even After almost a Month of Taking Fees-

    I paid Rs. 8,500 in advance for 6 months’ fees, I paid to Broomees Pvt India Ltd Agency on January 24th for a cook to be sent to my home on monthly wages to prepare food for three persons at my house as per my requirements. It has been almost a month since I made this payment however Broomees have miserably failed to provide the service for the money charged. This service was booked on your website and communicated to your Salesperson, Mr. Vicky Yede.
    On January 24th 2025, Mr. Yede confirmed and promised to send a cook by January 27th 2025, after receiving the UPI payment from me. Since then, as no cook joined to work at my home, I have made numerous requests to multiple relationship managers, namely Mr. Prabhat and Mr. Apoorv Gupta, to send a cook as soon as possible as my mother is unwell and is not able to cook.
    For over a month, almost every day, I have been deceived with false promises and excuses by Mr. Prabhat and Mr. Apoorv, who claimed that a worker would join soon. Whenever I was sent a worker’s profile by Mr. Prabhat or Mr. Apoorv, the next morning I received calls from the workers stating they could not join due to various excuses such as more work during this time, being known in my locality, or being unable to join the next day, and so on. As a result, no worker has joined in the past month, and my mother and I are compelled to cook our meals despite my exams and my mother’s illness.
    I am cheated by Broomees due to the numerous lies and false promises given by Mr. Yede, Mr. Prabhat, and Mr. Apoorv for nearly a month. Despite my several requests, I have not received a refund for my payment. I have gone through enough inconvenience already due to Broomees’ employees’ bag of lies; now I want my refund as soon as possible.
    Moreover, when I filed a complaint with the Consumer Grievance Centre against Broomees for not sending a worker even after almost a month since taking the payment, Team Broomees falsely informed the Customer Grievance Officers that a worker had started working at my place.
    Since no worker has joined at my house for almost a month and thus, Broomees has not been able to provide the service and arrange a cook as per my requirements even a month after taking the payment, I want a refund for the money paid.
    I have enough evidence, including messages, calls from Broomees relationship managers, and voice notes from workers refusing to join work even after nearly a month of paying fees to Broomees.
    So kindly process my refund as soon as possible, or I will be compelled to initiate a police complaint and legal action against Broomees for the fraud and deception done to me.
