I received a call claiming they are from jio Mart, they told me there was lucky draw and I had been selected for free gifts from jiomart, for which I need to place an order of groceries worth rupees 5000 on jiomart.
After adding the items to the card the guy on call asked me to NOT TO PLACE the order but to pay the amount on an account from DBS bank through PhonePe’ the account was named ‘jiomart ‘ on phonepe.
After paying they called me again asking me to pay another amount of rupees 11000, from then I was started to doubt if this is the scam and no sooner I realised I was already duped for 5000 rupee.
Please don’t fall for any such call.
