Text of Complaint by Ahmed Hassan Koya:

I had placed an order (prepaid) with Amazon India (ORDER # 402-0314314-2992375) and I received the package on 8 April 2022 and the package had the wrong item and a missing item in the order. Subsequently, I asked for a replacement and I received a replacement vide ORDER # 408-6895341-2283513 on 9th April 2022. The replacement order contained a used and spoiled item and I asked for a return and refund on 9th April 2022. The return pickup was scheduled for 10th April and on that day a delivery person called me and said that he is running late and hence he may be delayed I said it was OK and he can pick up the package even after the scheduled time of 7 Am to 7 PM. The pickup did not happen and I called Amazon Customer Service three times.
I was then told after my 3rd call that a pick-up has been rescheduled and it will happen the next day and then I received another intimation that it will happen in 72 hours!
Yet after my follow-ups, I still do not have any update and the pick-up is yet to be done.
I also wish to point out that Amazon uses this kind of delay tactic in connivance with the seller so that after a certain no of days, usually 7 days, when the customer enquires back they say that the “return window” has been closed from their end.
I have faced this issue twice earlier and when I complained to Amazon Customer Service, Amazon suspended my account.
I believe this is going to happen again.
