Text of Complaint by Jayvant Sidhaling mahajan:

I am writing to formally escalate my concern regarding repeated battery-related issues with my TVS iQube Electric and the repeated closure of my service case without a proper resolution.

My name is Jayvant Sidhaling Mahajan, and I am from Kolhapur, Maharashtra. I purchased a TVS iQube Electric S on 21/10/2022 from KR Motors, Kolhapur. I have strictly followed the recommended service schedule throughout the warranty period.

Despite this, I have been facing recurring battery issues:

Earlier, around August–September, KR Motors replaced only one battery, stating that the other battery was functioning normally.

As per standard technical practice, both batteries should ideally be replaced together to ensure balanced performance and long-term reliability, but this was not done.

Unfortunately, the same battery issue has occurred again.

I am now being asked to pay approximately ₹35,000 to replace one battery, with no warranty provided.

This raises serious concerns:

Does it make sense to replace a battery every few months?

Why is there no warranty on such a critical and expensive component?

I am not willing to spend ₹70,000 for two batteries without any warranty, as this defeats the purpose of owning an electric vehicle. At this cost, even a second-hand petrol bike seems more practical.

Additionally, I have been informed that black coupler batteries are known to have issues and are being replaced. I request TVS to kindly review my vehicle under this context and confirm whether my batteries fall under the affected category.

I would also like to highlight that my case (01630674) has been closed multiple times by the service center, and I have had to reopen it repeatedly with the help of TVS Customer Care, without a permanent resolution.
