Text of Complaint by Manpreet Kumari:

I ordered a Samsung original 25W Type C travel adaptor without cable, Black( order:408-8523697-3190766 ) for Rs.904.00 on 27th october 2025 on through amazon services. On 3oth october 08:55 AM ,i got a message regarding arrival of my product and the otp to be given at the time of product being handed over to me. At 11:50 am, I got another message which said, “the product could not be delivered today as the delivery agent was unable to contact you on phone.” The message also had a question which said,” Did the delivery associate contact you for delivery?” It had 3 options “1. track your delivery, 2. yes i missed the call, 3. no, i wasn’t contacted. ” As, i didn’t recieve any call even for once . I choose the 3rd option ” No, i wasn’t contacted”. At 03:24 pm , I got another message which said , ” your amazon package 408-8523697-3190766 was successfully delivered”.
As, I was neither even contacted once by the delivery agent nor did i shared the otp ; how come they could mark the product being delivered?
I raised query on the same day in amazon’s customer service. When nothing happened, i raised the query again on 3rd November,2025. So, they led me to talk with one of their agents. She also said that she could not do anything as the product status marks as “delivered”. She didn’t offer me any help nor even tried to solve my problem. I told her that i have proof of my call details that i wasn’t contacted by the delivery agent. I have proof of messages sent by amazon too. I even asked her to talk to that delivery agent regarding the product delivery. Even after this . she said that she can’t do anything and ended up the call rudely.
After all this, i want to know that where is the credibility, responsibility and consumer service stands in today’s digital world. The global arena is moving towards digital world. We have got the access of making payment digitally but ,
1.Where does the responsibility of the e-commerce sites stand to actually deliver the product to the person?
2.What’s the point of generating otp if the agent could mark it as being delivered on his own?
If i have chosen the option of “cash on delivery” then the product mut have been handed over to me in person , because i had to make payment of the same. And if this is the only way to get the product delivered safely and securely Then,
3.Why does the amazon service has provided the option of making payment by other modes too?
In the end, I only want to say that i want the refund for the non delivery of the product and compensation for the mental harassment caused due to the stress of the product not being delivered, no response from the amazon customer service agents and the stress of my money being duped.
