I am writing this email with a lot of frustration and anger. I have had the worst experience shopping with one of the major E-commerce platforms like Amazon.
I have placed orders for thousands of rupees from Amazon India and I was refused a refund for two items which I had to do because it didn’t fit the purpose. On sending the parcels with Amazon delivery who are more than happy to confirm that he picked the right item from us, Amazon India has denied to issue a refund of two items amounting to INR 3299.
On contacting Customer service various times, I had to deal with a bunch of unprofessional team members working with live chat platforms who were assuring me that they will look after this matter and suddenly after making a third contact with chat services, I was told that I would not receive any refund because Amazon received wrong curtains and abruptly ended calls and chats without any resolution and redressal.
I can confirm that we even had a chat with the delivery guy who took two set of curtains back from us for a refund
which were
1. JUPON Silk Blackout Curtain (Pack of 2 Piece) with 3 Layers Weaving Technology & Solid Grommet Pattern (W- 44inch X 108inch -L) Mocha – INR 1299
2. SHADES OF HOME – Premium Suede Velvet Blackout Curtain for Living Room, 9 Feet, Set of 2, Rose – INR 2000
I have no idea what they did with the packages or if they have mixed up items that Amazon is behaving this way. I live overseas and I placed these orders for my parents and this is quite an episode for them to deal with Amazon India just to get our money back which Amazon has happily taken with the products back to their warehouse too.
If this is not resolved in a timely way, I am more than happy to take legal aid because this kind of burglary is not acceptable.
I am attaching all the invoices for your reference and I am hoping for a positive outcome.
