Dear Sir,
Sir this is to bring to your notice, the stupid rule that is in system if ticket is booked online. If PNR is half confirmed that user has to login to irctc website and cancel ticket to claim refund of waiting ticket after chart is prepared.
My PNR is 8120143432, out of 5 tickets 3 were confirmed. So today i called customer care to check why refund has not been processed. Answer i got is you have to login and cancel the half PNR for refund to process and this is to be done before train departs.
Now my point is if somebody has gone to remote place where there is less network or is on a holiday and may not be able to cancel ticket before departs. This is not customer friendly rule and unnecessary condition.
First you need to mention the rule in email
Second you increase the window to 15 days or 1 month so that one can cancel it
And Third this rule should not be required at all. If system initiates refund automatically if full PNR is waiting then system should be capable enough for half PNR also
i have lost my money of 2 tickets but this rule needs to be changed and properly handled as it is bad experience from customer point of you if you are promoting the nation to be digital and book ticket online .
I have called customer care and spoke to Mr. Dipesh Rathod. He has arrogantly spoke to me and not even tried to understand what customer is talking about.
Please look into the matter and take action at earliest. Awaiting my refund as soon as possible.
