Text of Complaint by Devashish:

Hi Team,
This is regarding the refund status of my Landline connection (accnt : 7040472072) for which i placed a disconnection request on 11th April and same was disconnected on 17th.
I did a advance payment of same on 28th March . So when i requested for the disconnection i was told that i will be getting my refund in 45 days .

In last 45 days i have called 4 time to check my refund status including one call on 24th May and i was told that amount will be refunded to me in next 48Hrs.
My refund amount is 1833Rs . Today again i called and to my surprise the supervisor told me that some how the refund has not been initiated and she will be doing it now and this will take another 15 days for completing . Whe i asked why this was not done she had no answer.
Then i got a call from concern department saying that i have to provide the debit record and an cancelled cheque  leaf to get my refund initiated.
This is a serious case of cheating according to me .
1. Inspite of 4 calls during last 45 days it was always maintained that I will get my money back in 45 days just to know on 46th days that it has not even initiated.
2. If i would not have called no one would have been bothered to see about weather claim has been settled or not.
3. On top of it now i have been asked to provide a debit proof and a cancelled cheque for my own refund which i dont understand why, i have done an advance payment and i have to provide a cancelled chceque .I cannot blindly provide a cancelled cheque details like this , this can be a security issue fo me .
4. I have almost invested an hour call with airtel for my own money will airtel refund me my call money ?
5. Since airtel has not refunded me the money in stipulated time will they give any penalty to me as we are charged penalty when we dont pay our bills on time?
6. I request an call from a senior official on this who can explain me why did this happened and what is next course of action. Failing to do so i will be compelled to go to consumer forum for my money along with compensation on top of it for metal trauma i have to go through.
