We booked 4 adult tickets from Pune to Bangalore on 28th March, 2021 for the same day travel. The agency website did not prompt anything about RTPCR test results to be pre-obtained and produced at the time of departure; nor there was any information at the time of online check in about the same. The only time the passengers learned about it was at the time of boarding, and it was denied. Tickets are with an LC carrier and they are non-refundable as per policy. However, for any such exceptional scenario, where the customer is not at all fault and it was all misguidance and incomplete information from the agency, airline, and airport authorities, the customer’s are eligible for a full refund. The refund request has been denied by MMT taking the cover under the original ticket policy. These pax were at the airport well before time, but due to incompetency and the less internal communication, it was a surprise for the customer. The new policies of getting the test rests were there on the ticket, but the date mentioned was from 01st April onwards. Nothing for 28th March flights. We demand full refund. Please advice.
