With reference to Trip ID: 221203854132, my Bengaluru-Pune flight was rescheduled by the airline to a time that does not suit me. So I called up the Cleartrip helpline, and Shalaka answered the call today (around 6.50 pm on 18th Dec). Listen to the recording and you will realise that:

Shalaka confirmed TWICE that the amount refunded if I cancel this sector will be Rs. 3393.00, which was the amount originaly paid. She used the term full refund while referring to this amount.

She asked me if she should cancel this. I said. She cancelled and then I received the email from Cleartrip which says that I will get a refund of Rs. 2786.00 and not Rs. 3393.00.

So I asked Shalaka why? She said that there is some technical error and hence this email below, and that I will surely be refunded Rs. 3393.00 She said various things after that, like assigning her refund team to make sure that I am refunded Rs. 3393.00; and that she will call me next morning to confirm this, and that she will raise a ticket and that I must call them up again after I get the refund (in case there is a shortfall), etc. I demanded that this problem be solved now, and not be left like this. I asked for a senior on the line and they refused to come on the line. I asked her to send me an email noting that she promised me a Rs. 3393.00, which she refused.

This is cheating and they have caused enormous mental stress. In addition, this is threatening to detail my business meetings in Bangalore. I need to be compensated for this.

    This is Mohammed Farhan Ahmed.

    I was trying to book tickets on 25th June and there were multiple trips which were cancelled due to unsuccessful payment.

    Around 6:45 I tried again and there was no booking confirmation or ticket details. So, I then asked my brother to book the tickets from the different account and card which was successful.

    Later after 4 hours I got an email from ethihad airways around 11:30 that my tickets were confirmed. I was shocked seeing the email and I immediately called the customer service with no trip ID details. While I was on call I received the email from clear trip about the booking confirmation and the trip ID 230625782440 details around 12:17.

    I explained the agent the whole scenario and he suggested me to cancel the tickets and he will escalate this issue to concern team for full refund with exceptional case, so I agreed to.

    I received partial refund with multiple deductions worth around 61000 approximately.

    I have also shared all the email trail timings with them

    It’s clearly a technical issue from cleartrip which they need to take full responsibility and process the complete refund.

    I have been on call with multiple agents most of them were not helpfull. They are saying it’s my mistake and not theirs as it’s clearly a technical issue form their end.
