I booked a Krish Travels bus around two weeks ago from Chennai to Bangalore through Redbus. I followed their guidelines and reached the pickup point 30 minutes prior the scheduled time.
A few minute before boarding, I tried calling the bus operator multiple times to confirm the details/ETA, but kept getting a busy tone. Later, when the operator finally rings back, I find out that the location shared by Redbus was completely wrong. Even the Google Maps coordinates that they shared were wrong, not just the plain text address, pointing to the opposite side of the boarding point. The real pickup location was on the opposite lane, which I couldn’t simply cross the road to get to due to metro construction barricades.
On the very same call, the operator tells me that they can’t wait any longer and that I should hurry up. I rush past traffic to walk some distance to cross, but not even some one minute in, the operator calls me back again and tells me they had already left and that I should catch up using the live tracking link.
Redbus refuses to refund the full amount even though I was at the specified pickup location on time and tried calling the operator minutes prior. They also refuse to share their original boarding point coordinates (google/apple maps link) when I ask, saying they “don’t have access to it.” All I have are the call logs on my phone and no recordings.
