On 9th September 2023 at 4:40pm (approx.), I have received a parcel from Delhivery Pvt. Ltd. against COD of Rs. 299/-. As I have recently ordered an item from Amazon with COD Rs. 298/-, so, my husband mistook this delivery as for that one and accepted the same after paying the amount. But after opening the package we found a piece of old and soiled sari which I have never ordered. Also nothing is mentioned on the package about the sender except a cryptic information “Through: Shopping Mall_64”, probably not to raise any suspicion. In my opinion, this is sheer negligence ad not any complicity with the fraud on part of Delhivery. After checking on Delhivery website we found the seller as AEPL and subsequently found out on this website that there are several complaints registered against the sender for fraudulent delivery. Beside E-Com/Retail fraud it may be also a case of Cybercrime since this AEPL entity is illegally obtaining peoples’ personal information without their consent and uses the same to commit fraud on them. So, I am appealing to your good office to take necessary steps against them at the earliest and also to enquire whether there is any possible complicity of Delhivery or it is a simple negligence as said above on their part. I also pray to you that I be compensated properly.
