It started from an Ad on facebook which showed Apex chairs available at Rs.1499 on the e-commerce website Flake Shop. On clicking the ad it redirected to their site https://flakeshop.in/ and it showed genuine reviews from customers and website seemed fully functional. I proceeded to purchase and it used RazorPay as payment gateway and made payment via GPay. I got a confirmation email stating the order number (# and sms from the bank that money has been debited.
Also,my bad luck, that I had purchased another 2 chairs the same day amounting to Rs.2998 so total Rs4497 has been a fraud for me.
I have asked Banks to stop/reverse payment but they are unable to do so since they are done by us and transferred, but if it proves to be a fraud (which we have enough evidences) we can receive the money back from fraudsters account.
If we count order numbers for e.g. (mine 2395 * 1499 = Rs. 3590105) and many more people who have fallen into this fraud then it would surely go to a very big amount.
