Hi,
I have applied for reinstallation of my phone number 9811990085 (lost sim card). I applied for it in Gurugram sector 31 outlet on 10-12-2018. I was told that the address verification will be done in 1-2 days. It has been 6 days now and i have not received any calls for address verification on my current, temporary airtel number (9953085624). When i went to the outlet, they told that they will put the request for address verification again and i will soon be contacted for address confirmation and if this time also no call is received, they will have to do the whole process of reinstallation again. On asking for a helpline number/ grievance number, i was told no such source exists. I am a doctor and it’s causing a lot of inconvenience with my professional front since i am waiting without a definite answer for my original number which i have distributed to my contacts including my patients who need to call me on regular basis.
I tried to call customer care but in vain. I hope there is some cibilized and convenient way to handle the problems of customers rather than making them feel stupid, ignorant and uninformed. I hope this email is read by someone educated enough to pay attention to the customer care and not to blindly dump the inquiry just like i received from outlet and customer care front.
