I have an Airtel prepaid connection (9591889000). Whenever I try to place an outgoing call, I get multiple Pre call announcements – about my prepaid plan, about some random public messages and at times Airtel’s own ads. Sometimes, I get 5-6 such announcements before the call is connected. I have escalated this to Airtel’s appellate officer; after multiple email exchanges, this issue is not fixed.
I’d like to contest this unethical practice by Airtel – playing these pre call announcement ads at the cost of my peace of mind. I pay for my prepaid connection and I do not wish to be part of these annoying, time delaying pre call announcements.
