Text of Complaint by Aditya Yerunkar:

2-3 months ago due to sudden service loss I was left with no option by the VI (vodaphone/idea) customer care service to convert my prepaid sim to post paid with a hefty service plan, as I had my number linked to confidential places and services I had to agree to this term, later on I was seeing very poor internet, calling as well as poor network coverage, so for that reason I wanted to deactivate my number, I visited customer care center they declared I cannot perform deactivation before the 90 days period, for the service I don’t want I was being forced to pay for, later that time I contacted customer care number and they agreed to deactivate/discontinue my number on 27th of December 202and will generate final bill in January 2021.

On the day of 29th december 2020 I saw my service was closed so I kept my sim out as I was no use for it.

Later in January 9 2021 I received a mail regarding the full amount of the bill which wasn’t supposed to as the settlement bill should have been less, later I contacted customer care there this exicutive informs my number is still active and won’t be able to deactivate before the 90 days period which feel like a fraud for a service I don’t want I am being forced to pay, later I again raised complaint regards to this situation another customer care executive calls and informs that there is no such rules that you cannot deactivate your number before 90 days, I feel like I am in a loop where one will deactivate and it will be automatically reactive , its affecting me mentally how I am being giggled around like paying is forced and if not paid also giving subtle threats that there will be consequences.

I have all the call recordings and email transactions happened for what I have mentioned.

Help will be highly appreciated.
