Text of Complaint by Sandeep:

Hi,

I am using this Airtel Network and the 9840493747 for more than 8 years. And for the past 21 months I have been postpaid customer. Every month I paid 589 RS for unlimited calls and for 10GB data/month. On the date of 19th I plan to move to prepaid and went Ambattur Airtel showroom which is in Chennai. They asked me to pay 980rs which was my outstanding. So paid it without any hesitation. And they told me that within three days my number will change as prepaid. On the next day I got call from customer care saying that to retain me as customer she offered me 349 plan for 249 which covers unlimited calls and 30GB data for one year. Before conforming it the call was disconnected. So I called to the customer care and brief everything and the executive who spoke to me was agreed to proceed the 249 plan to my number. But today(22-12-2018) my number changed to prepaid. So I called again to customer care to know my status of the process. But no one knows the status of that request. So finally the call was transferred to some department and the person called Dhivya(Floor Manager) spoke to me and she is not ready understand my situation and only tried to convince me to proceed with prepaid number. And I asked her to change my number to postpaid. But strictly she told me to visit Airtel Showroom. What I was expected before calling to customer care was, they will change my number to postpaid with 249 plan. But she refused and spoke to me very rudely.

In this case, while taking the request of 249 plan you guys supposed to hold the previous request of prepaid to postpaid.

Because of not doing that now I paid 390rs as excess cash and I won’t get that amount back.

Finally, if a customer is ready to convert is number as postpaid means you making everything easy for that customer and if a customer planning to change his number as prepaid from postpaid means that particular customer should suffer in all the way.

This is not fair…

So I am changing my network only because of your backend team who not handle the customer properly.

Thanks for having me as long time customer.

Regards

Sandeep Kumar V
