Text of Complaint by Suresh Bomble:

I have been using a postpaid connection which was earlier a Tata Docomo number, and now has become an Airtel number after the merger of these two companies. It was working fine till around 20th September 2019; I was also able to contact Airtel customer service number till then. On 21st September, the internet service was disconnected. So i tried to contact the customer service number, but was unable to contact them. After several attempts I realized that my number is not recognized by the Airtel service anymore. After 3-4 days I went to a local Airtel outlet and informed them about the issue. They tried from their end and found out that my mobile number is not recognized by the Airtel system. They wrote emails to some authority and my internet was restored the next day. However, my number was still unrecognized, and the local person said he will try to get it resolved. But after more than two weeks it has not been resolved yet. Last time I was told by this ‘local outlet person’ that there is some IT issue (with the numbers migrated from Tata Docomo) and it might take some time to resolve. Though my number is not recognized the Airtel system, I got a bill and bill reminder for last month’s bill. When I try to pay the bill online, the system doesn’t recognise my number. Will Airtel please look into this?
