Though Keerapakkam is said to have all the Basic amenities and the BSF Quarters, this Village Panchayat union that has PINCODE AS 600127 is far behind on providing basic facilities to the residents, There are lots of New houses that are constructed across these Panchayat union that starts near the Karanai Puducherry road and extends all the way till Melakottaiyur. Only the villages near the VIT and is developed, where as the villages like Periya Arungal, that has a Primary School building does not even have a Scheduled water supply, Aavin milk supply and a fully operational Public Distribution Shop. There are no paved roads to access the GST roads via Urapakkam. The Kattur Village Forest department prevents the laying of the balanced road on this area because of which many traditional amenities like Aavin milk supply, Provision stores, PDS distributions are being impacted and also modern facilities like a Internet connection, DTH Connection,Amazon delivery are not functional on this area, The people have demanded various government officials to lay road but no improvements made. The Keerapakkam Village panchayat has lots of Residentials plots developed by real estate companies like Visvak properties,Amazze homes, ATS etc and there are residential gated communities that are operations since 2017, even these families who have migrated into this village are made to suffer by the promoters and the Village Panchayate by not providing them their basic emenities like Garbage collection, Street lights, paved roads etc and people residing in these communities are living between poisonous snakes every night and the situation worsens on rainy season. It would be helpful if officials are helping the people residing on this area.
