Sir, I am a merchant using Paytm’s POS terminal. I made a transaction on 02/06/2022 of Rs 1,11,000/- using the terminal with ICICI debit card of the customer, for which the MDR charge according to the Paytm stands to be 0.47% (including GST), but I was charged 2.99% which is unreasonable and unjustified. The card used for the payment was a debit card and the POS machine recognised it as a debit card, but still they charged 2.99% (Rs 3318/-) of the transaction.
I talked to them for reasons for the same and refund of the excess debited amount, but they are making excuses and not refunding the excess amount charged.
Sir, I request you to please look into the matter and provide remedy for the same. I will be very thankful.
