Text of Complaint by Francis Saju:

Hello Sir. My name is Dr Francis Saju. I’m  a doctor based in kochi, kerala. I would like to address the issue of my paytm payments bank account that has been blocked for the past 9 months. Also as I have an active paytm loan and since it gets auto debited from my account, I cannot make the payment as the account is frozen. And my CIBIL score is going down because of this

The reason mentioned is ‘suspicious activity detected’ but no matter how many times I’ve messaged, there is no transparency to what this means. And my bank account, which is  my primary account stayed locked. 

I’ve tried addressing the issue multiple times, via the paytm app, email and twitter. It’s the same response each time . That the ‘unblocking request cannot be processed’. 

When I was finally able to connect a member of the cfcc team in paytm, he said that ‘ the account can be monitored for ‘ 1 week, 1 month or 1 year’. I’ve never heard of a bank account being blocked for a year. Can you share your insight into this.
