issue: 10% cash back not completed by company mentioning hybrid payment although its the code error in APP that it preselected payment type as Paytm Wallet.
complaint: Fake advertising and use of app code for cheating
reason: ICICI payments via debit card attracted 10% cashback. Although app auto slected wallet for payment. Wallet had some previous balance so the full payment from IcICI debit card of more than 30000 Rs which attracts 3000 cashback (10%) was termed hybrid and cashback denied.
Detailed First Information Report – Chargesheet summary
I did not recieve 10% cashback on my online purchase from paytm mall which was advertised basis ICICI debit card used as payment system upto Rs 30000 bill.
As per my understanding and bank statement, Rs 33547 are deducted from my bank account on ICICI card on October 09,2018.
The total bill was 33598. Rs 51 was the existing wallet balance in Paytm. Now the company (PaytmMall) is rejecting cashback calling it hybrid payment.
But as a customer, I didnt select hybrid payment option in the app. The APP auto-computed 33547 amount after deducting Rs 51 from existing wallet balance and executed the payment basis the balance in wallet.
The total payment from IcICI debit card is above Rs 30000 and therefore the transaction is eligible for Rs 3000 cashback and cashback didnt come automatically in 5 working days.
The offer was 10% cashback in case payment upto 30K or above, and my payment was more than 30K I paid 33547 from icici card.
Please refund/ issue 3000 cashback immidiately as ypur logic of hybrid payment is their app software mistake not mine (customer’s)
Because computation and deduction happened by app automatically.
I didnt make a hybrid payment, the app did it automatically with its own logic.
This is classic bait and switch and seen as fraud under CRPC 420 and also wrong advertising/ wrong software which can be booked under IT act by both PaytmMall and ICICI debit card.
solution requested: Ask Paytm to provide Rs 3000 cashback to wallet immidiately to Mr. Tanmay Nagpal (On behalf of Mr. Vinod Nagpal (Father and Senior Citizen))
