I have procured Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Intel Celeron N4020 15.6″ (39.62cms) HD Thin and Light Laptop (4GB/256GB SSD/Windows 10/Platinum Grey/1.7Kg), 81WQ003LIN on 1 September 2021 sold by Max-IT through Amazon. Seller Maxus IT is an habitual offender with 40 percent negative feedback in last 90 days. Though many of the users have provided 1 out of 5 stars to the seller and has also flagged that the seller is fraud , supplies refurbished products as new , hikes the prices unilaterally and unresponsive( seller profile and customer feedback attached). No action has been taken by the Amazon customer support against the vendor to bar him from selling on Amazon India. The Lenovo Laptop which has been procured by me presently has been launched in the year 2020 and has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The cost of Intel Celeron N4020 processor based laptop 81WQ003LIN varies from Rs 23790/- to 28,999/- on other e-commerce website ( Rate document from 10 ecommerce portals was forwarded to Amazon) additional discount is also provided through various cards and exchange options. The cost charged on Amazon site Rs 33,000 is 25 percent higher than the average cost on other reputed ecommerce site such as Flipkart , reliance digital , Tatacilq , Paytmmall , hilaptop and croma. Additionally the average cost of the laptop on Amazon site is around Rs 26,000 in the last 60 days. The seller Maxus IT has sold the item at a rate that cannot be ordinarily commercially justified and significantly higher than recent prices offered on Amazon.in. The vendor has fleeced the customer violating the fair charging policy by charging heavily an additional amount of Rs 5000\- for a discontinued laptop without providing any new USP. The seller has listed 119 items on Amazon the costing of all items is average 25 percent above the average market price and though the issue was flagged to the customer support , escalation team and seller till date no action has been taken to resolve the issue neither have I been allotted a complaint/interaction number and are very casual about the complaint. Seller is also not responding to the mails sent to him. The customer support is pathetic , unresponsive , does not have any knowledge and every time I approach the customer support for status update I receive the same canned responses that we cannot offer any more information or we will arrange for a call. Even on the chat I was made to wait for hours with executives constantly changing and non resolution of the issue .It appears Amazon India is hand in glove with the sellers for manipulating things. I kindly one of the following actions may be undertaken on priority in order to amicably resolve the issue. (a) Suitable accessories and extended warranty with ADP for two years may be obtained from the seller vendor Maxus It to compensate for the overcharging. or (b) I may be refunded the excess amount in the form of gift certificate of Rs 5000/- through Amazon pay or (c) I may be allowed to return back the laptop back to the seller vendor Maxus It and order for another laptop through Amazon. or (d) I may be allowed to return back the laptop back to the vendor Maxus It and get an replacement Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Laptop with Core i3 processor which is costing Rs 34000 on amazon. Also action may be taken against customer support of amazon for deficiency in service and violation of customer Rights.
