I received this text message from Airtel “Pack validity for Airtel no 8826844784 will expire on 22-Nov-18 & outgoing services will stop. Recharge with RC35 or more for continued services.Dial*121*51#”. I talked to Airtel customer care regarding this message. She told me that your outgoing service will be stop on 22 Nov 2018 so you need to recharge minimum 35 for validity only and if you do not recharge then your Incoming service will also stop after 15 days. She also told me that you have to recharge after 28 days for validity if you done the recharge  with 35Rs. I asked to her that will I have to recharge time to time only for validity, She replied Yes you have to recharge time to time for validity only. When I purchased the Airtel Sim Card that time Airtel gave me life time validity. Airtel is cheating to customers……………so bad………….

  1. Yes! its true. Airtel wants to earn Rs. 1 per day from billions of indian airtel subscribers. airtel becomes billionare everyday! i switched to mtnl today. you should switch for bsnl or others.

  2. My daughter who is Doctor in a prestigious medical college has Airtel cellphone. Now her outgoing calls are barred though she has balance in excess of Rs 1000/- in her cell phone account.
Its quite surprising as to how M/S Bharati Airtel can introduce and implement new rules (which was not there at the time of getting the connection) without giving an exit option. At the same time they can not usurp the available money in the account.

  3. Yes me too getting same message. I have been using Airtel since last 10 years and was on Unlimited validity. Now every month they want us to recharge with Rs 35 to increase validity only

  4. Same thing for me. Have balance of more than 400, but can’t make outgoing call… Also they want me to keep on spending 35 recharge for 28 days validity. How can they introduce this new rule. They are not ready to refund outstanding balance as well…

  5. I received similar messages on my Vodafone no. When I visited their store, their executive told its been introduced for all the networks. Every month 35rs has to be paid only for validity.

  6. yes very true.. I wrote to Mr. Gopal Vittal from airtel board and received a call from their side but no plans were offered. Now they have stopped the Out Going and ill rather port out than stay with them

  7. I am also getting same message “Pack validity for Airtel no …………… will expire on 28-Nov-18 & outgoing services will stop. Recharge with RC35 or more for continued services. Dial*121*51#
I have been using this airtel number since more than 10 years. As a privileged customer of Airtel, company should have some goodwill with customer. I didn’t imagine that company will go down to such a low level. This is cheating and TRAI should take necessary steps. I have to change to Jio some other providers since I need to keep this number.

  8. Shame on Airtel. I am moving 3 of my 11 year old Airtel numbers in my family to Jio now.
Airtel has defrauded customers by going back on their Lifetime Validity promise.
I wish India had a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT like in the USA. But then… Indian laws!
Just wishing Airtel will crash & burn.

  9. Use Airtel App. Do Rs 35 smart recharge via Airtel Payments Back (Airtel Money)
    Cashback Rs 20 every month

So in Rs 15 effectively validity extend by 28 days

  10. What I understood from all that is that now Airtel and Vodafone also want to have active users who pay apprx Rs 100 per month like Jio. Jio is not giving free validity like Airtel. And Airtel and Vodafone plans are also same as Jio. so now its a war between average revenue of Rs 10 per 6 months against Rs 100 per month. Dual sim mobiles were also popular because of same.

I guess Rs 15 to increase validity is fair (Using artel app and digital money Rs 35 less Rs 20 cashback)

  11. bhari airtel ek chorr co. h pehle inhone ne interne suvidhao k naam pr loot macha rkhi thi 200 per 1gb ab inki fatt rhi h to fir se hume lootne k naye naye tarike dhund rhe h sale… #airtel chorr h

  12. What nonsense? I also got same message . I think we should change the sim. My all relatives and friends has decided to change the sim .
    Cheater airtel.

  14. Its high time to move away from AirTel.
AirTel is planning to loot 1 rupee per day from millions of subscribers in India.
I have already opted to port my number to other network.

    Go to Hell……….. AirTel…!
