Text of Complaint by Shreya Pillai:

Ordered an iPhone from Amazon worth Rs. 72k on 4th June 2022 and the same was to be delivered the same day. Paid additional Rs. 75 for same day delivery. However the product was not delivered. I called the customer care on 5th June 2022 to check the status of the order and I was told that the product is damaged and that I should cancel the order and replace. When I tried cancelling the order I was unable to do so. I immediately called the customer care again and I was asked to wait till 7th June 2022 after which I will be able to cancel the order. Yet again on 7th June 2022 I was unable to cancel the order. When contacted the customer care on 7th June 2022, in the morning, I was asked to wait, but no date was given as to till when I should wait. I was promised that by 5pm I would get my money back in the wallet. When I contacted the customer care in the evening of 7th June 2022, I was again asked to wait. It’s only after I yelled on them, that they raised a ticket for cancellation and asked me to wait for another 3-5 days, same is confirmed vide an email. I was even promised that they would expidate the request. When I called on 8th June 2022 to check the status on the ticket I was told that there is no update. On 9th June 2022 I raised this issue on twitter and got an email confirmation from their social media escalation team stating that the product will be cancelled within 24-48 hrs. However there was no update till 11th June 2022. When I called the customer care on 11th June 2022 evening I was told that there is no update and that a new ticket is raised for cancellation.
This is clearly a case of harassing the customer. Cancellation request was raised on 5th June 2022 however there is no update till 11th June 2022. Even today the same seller has listed the same product and is ready to deliver it the next day.
