I received a whatsapp message for part time job, even after I refused multiple times they asked me to give review of hotels, Per hotel they will pay me Rs. 50/- So I did a trial for 2 hotels and they credited Rs. 150/- Later on they asked me join telegram and text a receptionist. She gave link of a group where tasks will be posted. There were around 100 members in the group and a task was posted every 20 mins, in between google review there was a welfare task where if you invest 2000, you will receive 2800 in 10 mins, this amount starts with 2000 and goes till 250,000/-
They will give you a random gpay number and u shld pay in that, once u pay another person called task teacher will contact you and explain what u should do. They asked me to login inside a bitcoin trading platform (It seemed fake) and asked me to place a bet for Rs. 1600 and wait for 60 secs till it turned 2800. Then they returned Rs. 2800 back, again the same task came after a few minutes.
I knew it was a scam in the begging and was cautious from the begining. These fraudsters had a website, linked in page and all seemed genuine (Or they are misusing the image of a genuine company). But I was strong to believe that we shldn’t beleive in quick money. So came out after the first round. Next day they texted saying why I didn’t do any task. From there I blocked them.
So be careful guys. Don’t fall prey to these scams.
Also today I was automatically added to other money doubling groups and that’s how I ended up in this site to lodge this complaint.
