On November 28, 2023, I made a CESC bill payment using Simpl Pay, later worth 370 rupees. In the meantime, Simpl notified me of its billbox service and added it to my account. Anywhere on their site, they have not mentioned any charges for billbox pay, but suddenly, after it’s activation, they have charged me Rs. 49 extra. Soon, I emailed and raised a request to cancel this service and revoke this fee.
But instead, they attempted not to respond to me. I have followed up until December and requested to cancel it. Because it is no use of mine. And the 49/- fee they charged deliberately, as it was mentioned nowhere. As they denied to revoke, I finally stopped emailing, and they added more late fees to my bill.
Earlier, my bill was 608 rs including electricity bill payment and mobile recharge but after adding bill box charges and other late fees, it is now 758 rs. I am willing to pay the bill until now, but only 608 rupees, which was my actual usage. However, they disagreed and notified me with the demand notice. Please do the needful. This is harassment, The company is trying to loot money in completely unjustified ways.

On 24.01.24 at 2:23 pm someone named Kavya Krishna Singh impersonating a cyber cell guy called me from consumercomplaintscourt.com after seeing my complaint here (according to what he said). He asked me to share my bills and then started threatening me. He asked me when are you making the payment I said when company will revoke their extra service charges from my bill then only I will make my payment and he started threatening me afterwards. What the hell is this??
